QuickIP measures signal strength, distance, speed, latency and coverage, then states what each result means and what to do about it. Available in six languages.
Each screen states what the measurement means and which action it calls for.
Everything about your connection on one screen, refreshed the moment you open the app.
Readings follow the phone as it moves. No refresh required.
Heat is a common and invisible cause of slow throughput. Android throttles the modem to shed it.
Runs the checks a technician would, in order, and names the failure instead of saying "no internet".
Speed is only half the story. Bufferbloat is why calls stutter while a download runs.
Identifies why a connection is slow when this device is idle.
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and cell towers in a single screen.
The command-line toolkit, without the command line.
For engineers signing off an installation.
Raw Wi-Fi signal varies by several decibels even when a phone is stationary. Converted directly to metres, the reading fluctuates between 4 and 9 metres while nothing is happening.
QuickIP averages in the decibel domain. Path loss is logarithmic, so averaging metres would bias the result toward the more distant readings. A change is reported as movement only once it exceeds normal radio variation. A stationary phone reads steady, and moving to another room registers within seconds.
Subscriber counts per tower are held inside the operator core network. No Android interface exposes them, and any application displaying a user count is fabricating the figure.
QuickIP measures RSRQ instead, which compares the reference signal against total power on the channel. That total includes traffic from every other user, so a cell with strong signal but poor RSRQ is congested rather than distant. The result is expressed as a percentage of airtime in use.
Arabic and Urdu mirror the complete interface layout, not the text alone.
The published build contains no analytics, advertising or crash reporting.
Every feature is available on installation. There is no registration, and therefore no account data to expose.
No analytics, advertising or crash reporting libraries are included. Adding any of them would invalidate the statement above.
Android requires location permission to read Wi-Fi and cell details. QuickIP uses it locally and transmits it nowhere.
